Abstract: Objective To study the prevalence of hypertension in government functionaries of a large state-owned enterprise and discuss its related risk factors to provide basis for comprehensive prevention and control. Methods The government functionaries of this enterprise were investigated with questionnaire and physical examination from Apr. to May 2015, and the related factors of hypertension were analyzed by univariate chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression. Results 576 cases were effectively examined and 104 patients with hypertension were detected with a prevalence rate of 18.06%. Univariate analysis showed the prevalence rate of hypertension was related to gender, age, BMI, central obesity, hypertension family history, dyslipidemia, drinking and daily perturbation salt. Multivariate logistic regression showed that older than 50, male, high BMI,having hypertension family history, high TG, drinking and more daily perturbation salt were risk factors of hypertension. Conclusion The incidence of hypertension is related to multiple factors, and physical examination, health education and health intervention should be enhanced, and its related risk factors should be contraposed for comprehensive prevention and control.
