β防御素和牙周炎的防治研究进展

摘要: β防御素是口腔中新近发现的生物源性小分子多肽,可在正常及病变的口腔黏膜中广泛检出,它们具有抗菌谱广、抗菌活性强以及免疫调节能力突出的优势,在口腔局部免疫防御中发挥独特效用。体内及体外研究表明,β防御素对多种牙周致病菌具有显著抑制作用,且随着牙周炎的进展在牙龈组织及龈沟液中表现出明显的表达量差异,预示它在牙周疾病的发生发展及维持牙周稳态过程中扮演关键角色。将详细阐述β防御素与牙周炎的防治研究进展。

Abstract: Beta-defensins are recently discovered in the oral cavity as biogenic small molecular polypeptides, which can be widely detected in normal and pathological oral mucosa. They have the advantages of broad spectrum of antimicrobial activities, strong antimicrobial activity and prominent immune regulation ability, and play a unique role in oral local immune defense. In vivo and in vitro studies beta-defensin has significant inhibitory effect on a variety of periodontal pathogens, and with the progress of periodontitis, there are significant differences in the expression of beta-defensin in gingival tissue and gingival crevicular fluid, which indicates that it plays a key role in the development of periodontal diseases and the maintenance of periodontal homeostasis. This article elaborates the research progress of beta defensin and periodontitis prevention and treatment.
