Effects of health education on blood glucose and psychological changes in patients with type 2 diabetes

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of health education pathway on blood glucose and psychological changes in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods 260 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into 2 groups,the patients in the experimental group were implemented health education path of type 2 diabetes during the period of hospitalization and the patients in the control group continued to use routine nursing measures.Knowledge and skill levels of type 2 diabetes and blood glucose control rate were observed in the experimental group and control group.Patients’ psychology was tested by using Zung Depression Scale and Zung Anxiety Scale. Results Compared with the control group,the knowledge and skill levels of type 2 diabetes,blood glucose control rate,glycosylated hemoglobin control rate,anxiety and depression were significantly improved in the experimental group(P<0.01). Conclusion The implementation of a comprehensive system of health education path on type 2 diabetes can control the disease of type 2 diabetic patients,reduce the patient's depression and anxiety,improve the patient’s compliance of patients with treatment and nursing strategies and improve the quality of life.
